Chris Lindamood, former Assistant State Attorney, was fired by Lawson Lamar's Chief Assistant, William Vose. She was given no reason for her termination which came within an hour of receipt of what was originally marked as an above satisfactory performance evaluation, nor was the Office of the Public Counsel, investigating Lindamood's whistle blower complaint, given a reason for her termination, nor the EEOC that was "investigating" (for over two years) Lindamood's complaint of Title VII violations, other than that she "no longer served at the pleasure of the State Attorney". The Florida Fifth District Court of Appeals issued an opinion found at: Lindamood vs. Office of the State Attorney, Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, 732 So. 2d 829 (Fla. 5thDCA 1999). In preparation for litigation, Lindamood took the depositions of Lawson Lamar, Chief Assistant Bill Vose, then Executive Director (Director of Investigations and Administration) Mel Jones, and then Intake Bureau Chief Les Hess.
